(UPDATED) ALERT: Wanted Abduction Suspect May be Headed to North Dakota

Jody Haskin is a wanted registered sex offender. He is a prime suspect in the abduction case of 12-year-old Raeanna Rosencrans in Colorado and currently has a warrant out for his arrest for sexual assault of a child.

UPDATE: Haskin was found early this morning by police in Rifle, Colorado. He was armed. When ordered to drop his gun, Haskin shot himself rather than surrender to law enforcement. Reports now tell us that 12-year-old Raeanna Rosencrans had somehow escaped Haskin after he abducted her.

ORIGINAL ALERT: On Wednesday night, an Amber Alert was issued in Colorado for missing 12-year-old Raeanna Rosencrans. Thankfully, Raeanna was found at a Walmart in Rifle, Colorado last night, appeared unharmed, and the alert was cancelled. However, they are still searching for 47-year-old Jody Haskin, who is the prime suspect in the case.

Haskin is Raeanna’s step-father, but has no parental rights to her. He is also a wanted registered sex offender. Haskin pleaded guilty to a gross sexual imposition charge in Burleigh County, North Dakota in 1995. There is a current warrant for his arrest for sexual assault of a child.

Police have reason to believe that he is headed to North Dakota. Haskin is described as a white male standing 6 feet tall, weighing 215 pounds. He is balding with brown eyes and glasses.

If you have any information regarding the whereabouts of the suspect, authorities have set up a tip line for the case. You may call (970) 549-5656.
